Evolved by a team of engineers that continually conducts research and testing, each component in the Raybestos Police System is created with the intention of helping Police vehicles operate at optimum levels.

"Some law enforcement agencies use all OE components, or pads and rotors from a manufacturer they've used for years," said Charles Darsey, test manager at Affinia's Global Brake & Chassis R&D Facility in Winchester, Ky. "They are unaware of how the superior performance and overall value of this system could benefit their departments. If they'd perform comparison testing versus what they are using now, they would discover just how good Raybestos brand Police components are."

If your rotor prices have decreased, or remained the same, at a time when raw materials have increased dramatically, the article below would likely explain how that was made possible:

An Article from Aftermarket Business Magazine informs buyers to be aware that many manufacturers have lowered the quality of their rotors to help reduce cost.   "Brake rotors are safety related components and you never want to compromise the ability of your vehicle to perform possible accident avoidance maneuvers," says Bruce Reau, vice president of Product Development at Affinia Global Brake & Chassis. "Thinner plate rotors have less mass and may compromise the strength of the rotor. Less mass also decreases the thermal resistance of the rotor and the braking system will run hotter."

"Raybestos® brake rotors are designed to meet or exceed OE fit, form and function design standards," says Terry Heffelfinger, director of product engineering, R&D and quality for Affinia Global Brake & Chassis. "Through our global Quality Assurance commitment, we continually reaffirm our global specifications and standards for quality, reliability and safety. Our TS 16949 certification and values have served as the foundation for our family of brands for nearly a century and they continue to guide us as we design, manufacture and market on and off-highway replacement products and services around the world."  See complete article at the above link
